We decided to join the
Vineyard network of churches following serious consideration and discussions over two years. We found their theology, vision and values aligned very well with ours and we appreciated that they are strong on relationship and light on control. This means we benefit from being part of a network, while remaining a local church that is able to follow the vision we believe God has given us.
Although in our 50+ year history, we had never before joined a particular denomination, we have always sought out and been blessed by Godly external input. Whilst now being accountable to our Vineyard area leaders, Guy and Esther Pritchard from
Farnham Vineyard, our leadership team also continue to be mentored by Pete Gilbert, an evangelist and church planter who runs a discipleship course called
DNA. Pete is a regular visitor to the Church and has given us invaluable wisdom and input over recent years.
We are members of the
Evangelical Alliance and very much see ourselves as a part of the wider Church, loving working with other church denominations in our area.
We are a registered charity, No 1140214, which has a legal accountability structure, overseen by our board of trustees.
