On the 18th Sept 2021, we celebrated joining the Vineyard network of churches
Our leadership team, who oversee the spiritual direction of the church, have been significantly influenced by the Anglican Church HTB and the Vineyard movement. In 2021, we became part of the Vineyard network of churches.
We decided to join the Vineyard network of churches following serious consideration and discussions over two years. We found their theology, vision and values aligned very well with ours and we appreciated that they are strong on relationship and light on control. This means we benefit from being part of a network, while remaining a local church that is able to follow the vision we believe God has given us.
Although in our 50+ year history, we had never before joined a particular denomination, we have always sought out and been blessed by Godly external input. Whilst now being accountable to our Vineyard area leaders, Guy and Esther Pritchard from Farnham Vineyard, our leadership team also continue to be mentored by Pete Gilbert, a semi-retired evangelist and church planter who used to run a discipleship course called DNA. Pete is a regular visitor to the Church and has given us invaluable wisdom and input over many years.
We are members of the Evangelical Alliance and very much see ourselves as a part of the wider Church, loving working with other church denominations in our area.
We are a registered charity, No 1140214, which has a legal accountability structure, overseen by our board of trustees.
If you wish to contact the Chair of Trustees you can do this via Marie or by contacting the Church office.
